Productivity during March Madness

P(t) = 1/t, t  > 0

P = Productivity
t = time

Warning:  as you're filling out your brackets, make sure your screen saver is handy in case your boss walks by your cubicle.

March Madness

Sorry I haven't been blogging lately.  I seem to suffer from this strange seasonal flu every year, coinciding with the NCAA basketball playoffs.  ;-)

Get your brackets in.

Pelosi believes unemployment insurance creates jobs

Unemployment benefits may help the unemployed survive until they do find another job, but in no way is it stimulative to the economy, nor is it a "job creator." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi labels unemployment insurance as somehow ideal for an economy.

Madame Speaker: if unemployment insurance is so beneficial to our economy, why doesn't everyone quit their job and the government can pay each unemployed worker $100,000? Surely, that will stimulate the economy. In fact, if it is so successful, why doesn't the Federal government just write each of us a check for $1 million? Because if it is good in smaller amounts, why not just write a bigger check to all of us?

This is just one of many examples of madness on Capitol Hill.

Margaritaville

Since March Madness is upon us, I thought I'd take this opportunity to offer up my own version of spring break:

May your NCAA brackets be kind to you.
