There are no two ways about it. This is a commercial signature failure to deliver physical gold--an outright default from Deutsche Bank. The price of physical gold should be soaring right about now.

Is Deutsche Bank the next Lehman?
http://notquant.com/is-deutsche-bank-the-next-lehman/
The nature of all fractional-reserve banks — who are by definition bankrupt at all times – is to project an aura of stability until that illusion has already begun to implode.

Deutsche Bank opens $9 billion gold vault in Singapore
I still don't trust banks to store anything for me. But that's just me. In any event, demand for storage of physical gold is soaring globally, especially in Switzerland and Asia.

From Reuters: "A suspected parcel bomb addressed to Deutsche Bank chief executive Josef Ackermann was intercepted at a Deutsche office in Frankfurt on Wednesday, a senior U.S. law enforcement official said. The package was discovered around 1 p.m. Frankfurt time (7 a.m. EST/1200 GMT) in a mailroom, the official said. Initial analyses by investigators confirmed that it contained explosives and extra shrapnel, he told Reuters.
The official said the suspected bomb carried a return address from the European Central Bank, which is also headquartered in Frankfurt."

Deutsche Bank Put Volume Surges On Greek News
While German citizens may welcome the exit of Greece from the Euro, i.e. they won't have to continue bailing out a reckless Greek government, a certain German bank won't like it because it means all their Greek debt goes to zero. Greek citizens should also be careful in what they wish for, because much of that Greek debt is owned by its own citizens.

Commercial real estate in real trouble
Not news to us, as the predicted bankruptcy of the General Growth Properties REIT was as inevitable as GM's and Chrysler's. But Deutsche Bank's analysis could be even grimmer than mine, if that's possible.
