Restricting gold supply will not be effective: P.R. Somasundaram

No $hit.  Banning or restricting gold imports only encourages smuggling from a population steeped in gold tradition.  They understand the role of precious metals as protection against corrupt government fiat currency printing.  The Indian government's attempts to curb gold imports will only harm its citizens.
